Hi Neighbor,
I’m running for Agoura Hills City Council to keep our city clean, safe and prosperous, without losing our small-town charm by overbuilding. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and chose to raise my four young kids here in Agoura because it’s special.
More and more, people are getting polarized over the issues… but I do not believe in partisan team red versus team blue politics. I do not believe people should vote solely based on party lines. We need to all work together to keep our city clean, safe and prosperous.
In life, I strive to approach everyone and every issue with an open-minded perspective, and I promise to do that as your next city councilman. I will work with everyone, regardless of party affiliation, to ensure your interests in the city are protected.
Politically, I was an Independent for 10 years, and have voted locally and nationally on both sides of the aisle. No more party politics.
From both being a father of four and a small business owner with my wife, I believe it is important to hear multiple sides of an issue before deciding where you stand.
One of the major challenges in politics today, in my opinion, is the willingness to try to understand other peoples’ points of view.
It is also important to have the confidence to be a pragmatic and flexible thinker and have the ability to change your stance based on new information. I tell all of this to my employees, my children, and the teams I coach.
In case we haven’t met already, here’s a little bit about me:
I want to keep Agoura Hills safe, clean and prosperous, with out overbuilding and losing our open spaces and small town charm.
I’m raising my four young kids here in Agoura Hills because I love the area. We have great schools, clean parks, hiking trails, a small town feel with charming neighborhoods, and some of the sweetest people.
I’m invested in the keeping what makes Agoura Hills special, and improving it for the next generation. I’m already involved locally as an AYSO soccer coach, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainee, and local business owner. My wife and I own Levine Realtors, and have been in real estate for 17 years.
I hope I can count on your support and vote!
Thank you!

Mike Resar: “I like what David stands for and love the fact that he ran during the recall to oppose state wide mandates. I also respect that he is non-partisan and looking to do the right thing for our community.”
